Self-employment is another area that IAB encourages students towards by providing vocational training.

Several IAB alumni have made their mark in professions as diverse as music, sales of consumer goods, stationery, stamps, tailoring and chair canning. Currently IAB has encouraged 3500 visually challenged people to become self-employed.
