every year around 300 visually challenged people acquire computer literacy through its well thought out programmes.
Realizing the importance of computer literacy, IAB began its IT programme in 2005 with specially qualified Teachers. Students are taught skills such as keyboard typing, Internet usage and familiarized with software packages like MS Office and advanced windows functionality. Intensive training to interface with the computer using JAWS (Job Access with Speech) and NVDA further empowers the students. Today, IAB’s state of the art computer lab has 40 computers with round the clock Internet access. IAB can state with pride that every year around 300 visually challenged people acquire computer literacy through its well thought out programmes.
